CHATEAU SIGNAC

The Amez-Droz family and their associates bought the estate in 1989. It covers 90 hectares (223 acres), of which 38 ha (94 acres) are vineyards. Since then, they have continuously sought to enhance the quality of their wines by improving the grape varieties, and by stringently controlling the yields and winemaking methods. This has enabled them to emphasise the distinctive character of this exceptional terroir.

Their efforts have brought success as each year their wines have won awards and recognition. The most recent are:

• Gold medal at the Paris Agricultural Show, 2005 and 2006
• Robert Parker awarded Terra Amata cuvée 90 points
• Special selection in the Hachette guide, 1997 and 2003
• Chosen by the Revue des vins de France and by the Bettane-Desseauve guide
• In Quebec, Michel Phaneuf and the Chartier guide have mentioned Signac wines every year for their excellent value
• Gold medal at the Orange Wine Fair, 2006
• Highly recommended by the Decanter
