In 1961, Château Signac only encom-passed 4 hectares of vines. Its owner, Mr. Joannet, slowly transformed the estate with a lot of courage and determination, and  increased the surface area of vines to 38 hectares.
In 1989, the Amez-Droz and their partners bought the estate and the
vineyard has been in their caring swiss hands ever since.

To this day, the Château Signac team stays faithful to the heritage and carries on the quest for quality with passion.
The wines of Chateau Signac are now known far beyond the region.

APPELLATION CHUSCLAN THE ESTATE

The site of Signac dates back to 3,000 B.C. The Roman tribe of the Voltinis settled here and started planting vines on the sun-drenched slopes of the "Camp de César" and the plateau of Laudun - Orsan, as far as the outskirts of Signac.

The Romans continued planting towards Chusclan. The Benedictine monks continued to tend these vines until the French Revolution.
